My Story
My name is Delta and I am 15 years old; I have been home educated for just over a year whilst I have been struggling with my mental health. I was a top achiever at school, but I found the peer pressure and competition that comes with being around people my age along with the pressure to conform coming from teachers was just too much to deal with on top of my already existing fragile mindset. As a result my behaviour spiralled and I started getting into trouble inside and out of school.

About Me
I am very passionate about fashion and makeup, and I have always found that strip lashes can transform a whole look. Even with no makeup on lashes can turn an outfit from a 6 to a 10. I recognise that other women and girls feel more confident when wearing makeup even if its just a little lippy, for me its my eyelashes and eyebrows.
My mental health got extremely bad and I started self harming and having frequent breakdowns etc. It’s been a rough journey and although I’m still not on top of things 100% I am feeling stronger. I have been volunteering for the last few months at a local hair and beauty salon one or two days a week to try and work on my anxiety of talking to people. Nicky the owner has been amazing and has encouraged me along with my mum to have dreams and set goals.
I have two goals one is to pursue my modelling career; I am with an agency and have had a couple of small jobs which has also helped to build my self-esteem and my Instagram influencing work is doing well. I find concentrating on these dreams and wanting to be successful helps with the urges to self-harm as I know I will not get work if my body is scarred. I want to be able to use my platform to help other girls who are in the same boat as me as I know I can relate, a modelling career is perfect for this kind of influencing. My second goal is all about building my own business and this is where I need a little help.
I know some people may feel I am too young to feel this way and that may be, but it is what it is, and I want to make something positive out of what I am learning. I have bought some beautiful lashes that I would like to start selling.
